"Intimacy and eroticism are subjects which fascinate me. I express the powerful forces within an intimate relationship by manipulating the inter-play between objects and clay. Delicate elements express the beauty and fragility of the porcelain. Repetitions and rhythms express complex and resonant relationships. Clay takes precedence, often taking over and transforming the objects and spaces."

Meinir Wyn Jones is a sculptor and installation artist. Born in Wales, Meinir received her BA degree with honors from the University of Sunderland in glass and ceramics. Her award winning ceramic work has been exhibited throughout Europe and the US and is currently undergoing an Artist in Resident position in Washington DC, America. Her work was selected for Ceramics of Europe – 12.Westerwald Preis 2009 and is on display until September 2010 at the Kerakmik Museum in Germany.
